Growth versus Scaling
Are you in a growth phase or a scaling phase?
A lot of online gurus throw these words around and use them interchangeably but there's a key difference in between growth and scaling.
Growth means you're doing all that you can to increase the top-line revenue without regards to the bottom line.
Scaling means you're either maintaining or increasing your revenue while focusing on your profit margin/bottom line.
So what does this mean? This means that in order for you to SCALE, you need to GROW.
Think about your business as a bonsai tree. As a lot of you know, bonsai trees are well known for pruning and maintaining their shape. But in order for that to happen, growth needs to happen. And growth can look unruly, unkempt, and out of control sometimes. However, once you found the secret sauce that is custom to YOUR business, you're able to scale, and make that bonsai tree beautiful in the way you want it to be.
So, are you in a growth or scaling phase? Let me know!
